What does a Spinal Flow session look and feel like?

A session takes place on a massage table with you fully clothed and lying on your stomach. Using a series of gentle, intentional contacts at specific access points, I help your nervous system connect to areas of stored tension. Clients often describe the experience as deeply relaxing, peaceful, and at times emotional. You may feel warmth, movement, tingling, or emotional release during or after the session.

Who can have Spinal Flow sessions?

Spinal Flow is safe and supportive for people of all ages, from newborns to elders, including expectant mothers in any trimester. It's especially helpful for those who are experiencing stress, chronic pain, fatigue, postural issues, emotional overwhelm, or those simply wanting to feel more aligned in their body and life.

Is Spinal Flow safe?

Yes, Spinal Flow is a gentle, non-invasive technique that is safe and supportive for all ages and life stages. Each session is adapted to your body's individual needs, and care is taken to ensure comfort and safety throughout. There are no known contraindications to Spinal Flow.

What do I need to prepare for a session?

No special preparation is required. Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing, you will remain fully clothed throughout the session. Spandex leggings and jeans make it difficult to make effective contact with access points. Try to arrive a few minutes early to ground yourself, and allow some quiet time afterward for integration and rest.

Will I feel anything during a session?

Each person experiences Spinal Fow differently. Some people feel tingling, warmth, emotional release, a floating sensation or muscle movement during a session. Others may feel relaxed or even fall asleep.

How do I know if Spinal Flow is working for me?

Signs that Spinal Flow is supporting your healing may include a sense of calm, increased energy, improved sleep, emotional clarity, or a reduction in symptoms over time. Because healing happens in layers, consistent sessions are key to allowing deeper and longer lasting shifts.

How many sessions do I need to have?

The number of sessions depends on your unique body, history and goals. Healing isn't one size fits all- it is a process. Many clients begin with more frequent sessions to support the body in releasing long-held stress and tension. Overtime, as your nervous system becomes more balanced and your symptoms begin to shift, session frequency often decreases.

The journey is reflected in the diagram below 'Your Journey to Empowered Health with Spinal Flow'. I utilize this to help guide clients through the phases of treatment. While this guide offers recommended frequency, every body is unique. If your exploring a different pace and not seeing the results you hope for, refer back to this guide to reassess your goals and current health phase. You are always welcome to adjust your session frequency to your needs. This is your healing journey- and I am here to help support you in every step of the way.

What is included in the initial assessment?

During the initial assessment, we will explore your health history, discuss your goals, and introduce you to the Spinal Flow Technique. I will explain what to expect, perform a postural examination and assess your spinal gateways. You will receive a 20 minute healing session, followed by guidance on how to care for yourself after.

What kind of results can I expect?

Every person's healing journey is unique. Some clients notice changes after just one session, such as improved sleep, reduced pain, a sense of calm, or increased energy. Others experience more gradual changes over several sessions as the nervous system unwinds and the body begins to heal from within. Results may include physical, emotional and mental shifts as blockages release and flow is restored.

What does the aftercare look like for Spinal Flow?

After a session, your body may continue to process and shift for hours or days. You may feel tired, energized, emotional, or experience physical releases. Drinking water, resting, journalling and gentle movement can support integration. You will be provided with personalized aftercare guidance following your session.

Can I combine Spinal Flow with other therapies or medical care?

Absolutely. Spinal Flow integrates beautifully with other healing approaches including massage, acupuncture, counselling, physiotherapy, or medical care. Many clients find that it enhances the benefits of other treatments.

How do Group Spinal Flow session support integration and healing independence?

In a group session, your body has more space to process and integrate on its own. This might surprise you, but it actually helps strengthen your nervous system's ability to self-regulate- one of the most important aspects of long term healing.

In a group setting, when I am not in constant contact with access points  your body has more opportunity to integrate. The pause gives your nervous system space to process, adapt and deepen the healing. Your body learns to listen inward and responds independently. In a group, the energy of others receiving care can amplify your own shifts, you are supported by a field of safety and collective regulation.

This combination of gentle input, rest, and shared energy allows your body to create real, sustainable changes-naturally and intelligently.

You are not being 'left alone' - you are being given the space to reconnect to yourself.
